In February, Thinking Oasis hosted a two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) program at a local hotel, aimed at equipping future educators with critical thinking skills in STEM. Led by Bara Kilani, an expert in the field, this 16-hour intensive program emphasized the importance of critical thinking as a core competency in 21st-century education.
The training brought together university students and fresh graduates with backgrounds in engineering, science, and mathematics. Participants were introduced to critical thinking training methodologies using the Socratic method, experimental learning, and dialogue-based approaches. The program included theoretical and hands-on practice sessions, where participants could apply their new skills and receive feedback from expert trainers.
Thinking Oasis, with its two decades of experience in critical thinking skills development, designed this training to spread the culture of critical thinking across educational institutions in Amman. The training also focused on the integration of STEM-based activities to enhance problem-solving abilities and prepare learners for the challenges of the future. As part of its ongoing commitment to education excellence, Thinking Oasis plans to hold such events annually to expand the community of certified critical thinking trainers in the region.
